Understanding Side Panels in Obsidian

Summary

Obsidian has a left and right side panel that can be expanded and collapsed. These panels are customizable, so you can change what goes where like you would tabs. (See [[Understanding Tabs in Obsidian]]) They are expanded or collapsed by hitting the icons that look like a left panel or right panel, respectively.

## Customizations

Different Plugins allow for different panes that you can add to the side panels. You can also make the side panels wider or narrower by click-holding their interior boundary. In this kit I customized the default panels.
